BYNT Maps is a read-only viewer for ArcGIS Online web maps, provided by Bynt Group. This page explains how to use the app and how to get help.

Getting started

  1. Open BYNT Maps and tap Sign in with ArcGIS.
  2. Sign in with your existing ArcGIS Online account. Authentication happens securely through Esri — we never see your username or password.
  3. After signing in, you'll see the web maps you have access to. Tap any map to open it.
  4. In a map you can pan, zoom, rotate, tap a feature to view its details, and pin a map for quick access. The app is read-only — nothing can be edited.

Requirements

  • An existing ArcGIS Online account from your organization.
  • iPhone or iPad running iOS 17 or later.
  • An internet connection to load maps and layers.
The app supports ArcGIS Online accounts. ArcGIS Enterprise portals are not supported in this version.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to create a BYNT account? No. You sign in with your existing ArcGIS Online account. There is no separate BYNT account.

Why don't I see any maps after signing in? The app shows the web maps your ArcGIS account can access — the ones you own and the ones shared to your groups. If the list is empty, your account may not have any web maps shared with it yet. Check with your organization's ArcGIS administrator.

Can I edit features or data? No. BYNT Maps is strictly read-only by design. It never creates, edits, or deletes any ArcGIS data.

Why does the map ask for my location? Only to show your current position on the map as a blue dot. Your location stays on your device — it is never stored or shared. The app works fully without granting location access.

How do I sign out? Open Settings inside the app and choose Sign out. This removes your saved credentials from the device.
